Proof the car actually does exist! It was even driven today
pictures of my W116
I will try and keep a decent picture diary of work done towards weekend driver mode.
280,000 kms One family from 79-2011
Bought in March 2011 from the grandson of the original purchaser. Only modification is removal of self-leveling rear suspension system and replacement with new coils and shocks.
A Deutsch Engineering Masterpiece with a French Name
my first classic car, without any blood & sweat spilled at all. Previous owner spent a fortune shipping it from HK to MB Germany (2000-2003) to restore the glory of this beauty. Colour was Blue/Blue but now Grey/Grey (my kind of colour anyway).
My '76 350SE
My first Mercedes, a very original 1976 350SE with only 31,000 miles up when I bought it in Aug 2010. After some under-sealing and new tyres, she's ready for some summer driving.
this album shows my w116 20 years ago when i was 3 and of the car now (owned by me)
WIP on 350
The rims are FONDMETAL 8jx16 ET11 and fit quite well, obviously designed for S classes of the era.
1975 280S White
ZAR 1975 280S White. This car was unfortunately stolen in 2014, but I am keeping the pics of her up here so she is not forgotten!
Unrestored & pristine.
A very clean 78 I picked up recently. Almost perfect in every way.
A completely original example, with just 13,000 miles from new and one owner from two months old. This Mercedes Benz 450 SEL has a full service history from the supplying dealer, Mercedes Benz of Bristol.

First pix of my not so new 6.9
It's 2007 and I thought that may be it's about time I bought a digital camera. So naturally the first pix I took are of my beloved 6.9. In summary it's number 2062 off the production line, was made in 1977 and shipped to Hong Kong. There it served a top barrister. In 1997 it came with him to UK and languished in a stable together with race horses. In 2002 I took ownership from the original owner. I have done no major reconditioning although there is always something that's being fixed or worked on. Amazing machine.
